We’re going to start with Planet Karen because it’s hosted here and she’s my friend. (For the record, I’m not the Andy that got her started on all this.)
Planet Karen is an autobiographical strip by Karen Ellis. She describes it as “The life and mind of a practically sane, nerdy goth girl.”
Gail Simone, a writer for DC comics says of Planet Karen: “A webcomic with everything; heart, brains, humor, drama, and more, created by gifted fangirl Karen Ellis. It’s worth starting at the beginning, but the strip has been even more compelling lately as Karen struggles with a serious health problem. Go read it, you’ll thank me.”
Karen starts her story literally with the inception of the comic and proceeds with more or less daily lifes ups and downs, through the fire that forced her from her home and finding nicer digs.
Planet Karen updates several times a week.
